Soviet Art in Varna, Bulgaria

Today’s post is to update you on where I’m at.

Cosplay Poles

I’m publishing a lot over at Girls Chase. I’ve been writing for them for a year now. I have complete freedom and Chase’s team is awesome. I feel lucky to have this gig, as it takes a lot of the pressure off being an entrepreneur, and gives me the financial stability to go Digital Nomadic. I’m proud to say that I’m out of the red and saving money again. Sometimes hitting a low is what you need to start climbing again.

I’m still teaching. If you’re looking for coaching, I’m only doing 1 on 1’s, and they’re customized for whatever country I’m in. I really love teaching in Europe. Just so many beautiful women everywhere. I haven’t decided where to next, but I am teaching in Poland This October. After that I’ll maybe go back to Asia, or Colombia. I haven’t decided yet. The biggest thing keeping me from South America is I speak zero Spanish.

Commie propaganda near Chernobyl

I’m writing from a nice cafe in Belgrade, Serbia. I’m currently on month eight of my expedition. In this time I’ve been to nine countries:

Thailand:

I love Thailand. Was in Bangkok for a short time, and then Chiang Mai where I rented an apartment for a month. It was great for getting work done, even though the burning season made the air look apocalyptic. Definitely skip Chiang Mai from March to May. I got a lot of writing done, and made a great new creative friends.

Indonesia:

I went to Bali and visited the famous regions of Semniyak (bleh), Canggu (Meh) and Ubud (Okay). I can totally see why people love Bali. Cheap, beautiful landscapes, surfing, parties. But it’s just too crowded, developed, and touristic for me. I know if you head more inland it’s less so, but I couldn’t wait to leave. If I did go back it would be to network with other nomadic entrepreneurs, or rent a beautiful villa for $1300 USD a month.

The Philippines:

I went to Cebu City, and from there went down the coast, across to Negros, and did some island hopping. This is where I got really addicted to being off the beaten path. I was exploring obscure islands, where I’d rent a scooter and just drive around all day, heading from one side to the other. Locals pretty much all speak English, and most were super stoked to see a white tourist zipping through their villages. They’d wave, offer their daughters, and off I’d go. It’s definitely a place I want to go back to.

Dating wise, I had a few trysts with tourists, but mostly just explored. But trust me if you’re into beautiful nature in shithole countries and eager women, you can’t beat the place. Except perhaps the food, which is not exceptional, and the cities are disgusting.

Germany:

I stayed a week in Berlin, bought some weed of an African refugee and walked around, looking at WW2 and cold war stuff. Berlin is pretty cool and I’d definitely explore it more. Lots of hipsters and cheap hostels. You do see beautiful women there, but you have to weed through the baggy clothed, combat boot, tatted up hipsters to find them.

Poland:

I taught a bootcamp in Krakow, then went to a ski-resort town called Zakopane and did some hiking. Then went to Wroclaw and Poznan.

Typical Poles

Poland is a great introduction to the shit hole countries of Europe. It’s cheap, friendly, and has mostly beautiful women. I ate way too many perogies. I’m going back to teach another bootcamp at the end of this month, and might stay for awhile.

Ukraine:

In the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone

I crossed the sketchiest border ever by foot from Poland. Just one guard on each side, and lots of poor people pushing shopping carts. I visited Lviv, Kyiv, and Kharkiv.

Is it true? Are the women beautiful. Fuck yes it is. Too bad 4/5 speak zero English. It’s heart breaking. I went on a date with a hottie and we did the whole thing over Google Translate. I had a few dates there. My favourite experience was visiting Chernobyl. It’s a tourist hotspot now.

Romania:

I flew from Ukraine to Bucharest, where I spent over a week. I had a client, and it was rough, because I couldn’t find any beautiful women in Europe’s ugliest Capitol city. Then I went to the mall. Wow. Lots of talent at the mall. Romanian women generally have jet black hair, bright blue eyes, great bodies and are super friendly. I would have stayed but the client wanted to go to the beach. So we went to Varna, Bulgaria.

Bulgaria:

This is so far my favourite country in Europe this trip. I spent over a month here, and had so much fun. Went to a beach town called Varna, then down the coast to Burgas, Sozopol, then up to Plovdiv and the capitol, Sofia. I had a few romances here, and Bulgarian women are smart, sexy, and speak great English. Definitely a hidden gem. Don’t go.

Sozopol, Bulgaria

Serbia:

I’ve only been in Serbia one day. But I’m loving the Balkans so far. Yes, beautiful women, like everywhere so far. Belgrade is huge, and I’ve seen about 1% of it. So can’t really give a good review yet.

What have I been doing?

Just exploring. Trying to find my new home? A wife? I don’t know. But I can say, since I left Canada after having a financial and existential crises, I’m now saving money, travelling, and expanding my social circle. Though I can’t seem to settle down, and I’m still looking for a new homeland. I feel like I need to see a little bit of the whole word.

One thing I’ve learned, is that no location is perfect. You might have great beaches, and terribly high accommodation prices. Or beautiful women, and an ugly, boring city.

Each of these countries have a slightly different dating culture that could use a few thousand words each. And I’ll have to write more about them in the near future.

Until then, sign up for my mailing list. Join the cult. I post more often on there then on the main blog.
