The Dating Game Has Rules

I was watching my friend play Call of Duty last night. He runs boldly across a street with no cover, and unsurprisingly is sprayed bullets. He stands up, nearly furious and yells, “Not fair! Not fair! Not fair!”

I laugh and say, “Bro. What’s not fair? You fucked up. Those guys were playing properly. You suck.”

The dating game is a game. I think all of life is a game. If you play, you will lose, or you will win. But you need to play the game and there are rules.

I had a client a few weeks ago. I notice he has disgusting, long nose hairs. “Bro. Go buy some scissors and trim those nose hairs,” I tell him.

“Oh I’ll pluck them out.”

“No man, that will make you cry. Go buy some scissors and cut them. I’ll be waiting.”

Twenty minutes later he shows up and still has nose hair so we continue on to day game. Time is money and he is paying.

I tell him to smile. Sixteen hours of game later and he still isn’t smiling during his approaches. The guy can’t figure out why his approaches won’t stick. He wants to know. “Well,” I tell him. “You still have nose hair, and you still aren’t smiling. You want to play the game, but aren’t willing to play by the basic rules.”

It’s like this. If you run blindly across a street covered by snipers like an amateur, you’re going to get shot. If you approach women with nose hair and a frown, you’re going to be rejected.

Women want to meet great guys, but they aren’t willing to become great women. They eat shit food, watch too much t.v. and get fat. They don’t read books and are boring conversationalists. They don’t learn how to give good blowjobs or massages, yet they wonder why alpha males only use them for sex and don’t want relationships. They aren’t playing the game by the rules.

Artists want fame but aren’t willing to put in the work, or market themselves.

Guys want women but aren’t willing to go out and cold approach, dress well, work out, smile more, or trim their nose hair.

Not fair? This game is plenty fair. But you need to accept the cards you are dealt and play by the rules. Only once you’ve mastered the game can you bend the rules. Until then you are an amateur and will remain in the minnow leagues with the bottom feeders.
